Designed for students who have completed a beginner-level gayageum course, this intermediate class introduces more advanced playing techniques and expressive musical skills. Students will expand their repertoire beyond children’s songs and traditional Korean songs by performing a variety of genres, including contemporary music and K-pop, on the gayageum.
In addition to strengthening their individual performance skills, students will learn the fundamentals of ensemble playing and develop their ability to collaborate with others through shared musical experiences. By exploring music that bridges traditional and modern styles, students will discover new dimensions, greater depth, and the unique versatility of the gayageum.
