[Sat 3:10] Korean Traditional Dance (2-12th)

In-Person

Korean Heritage Program | Korean Culture
Instructor: Eunah Choi
This semester, we will be learning the Korean Fan Dance (Buchaechum). Buchaechum is one of the most iconic and visually stunning traditional Korean dances. It is often performed at international events and school performances to showcase and promote Korean culture.

Fan dance can be challenging for young children, and it may sometimes cause discomfort in their fingers. However, I structure the choreography in a way that is fun, simple, and easy to follow so that students can enjoy learning without feeling overwhelmed.

A unique feature of Buchaechum is that several dancers move in harmony to create large, beautiful patterns with their fans.
