This course introduces students to the fundamentals of computer programming in an easy and engaging way using Scratch, a beginner-friendly block-based coding platform developed at MIT. Students will learn essential coding concepts, including events, loops, variables, and conditional statements, while creating their own projects based on various aspects of Korean culture, such as Hangul, Korean food, hanbok, traditional music, Korean holidays, traditional houses, and taekwondo.

Through weekly animation and game-development activities, students will naturally strengthen their creativity, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills. For their final project, students will plan, design, complete, and present an original game based on a Korean cultural topic of their choice.

This enjoyable program allows students to develop their coding skills while also deepening their understanding of and interest in Korean culture.
